‘Kelli Frances Corrado has haunted folk sensibilities which focus on presence and healing’ - Emily Pothast, The Wire

“A master arranger”- JJ Skolnik, Bandcamp Daily

I’m Kelli Frances Corrado (she/her), an experimental singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. I write, perform, teach, and wander. Creating music that feels as much like an invocation as it does a composition. Growing up, I used to sneak out to DIY shows in Chicago, while learning prayers ritual prayers from my Czech grandmother. That blend of earth and ether, grit and grace, lives in the music I make.

I first picked up the guitar playing in an ambient project called Arkade, but over time, my work evolved into a fully formed solo vision. With a background in operatic training, string arranging, and poetry, I channel many lives, past and present, into my songs: social worker, tap dancer, teacher, student, wanderer. Inspired to create and record in strange and sacred places: a haunted schoolhouse from the 1900s, a seaplane port, tunnels with a 17-second natural delay, a field of swans… I’ve lived in the Black Forest, London, and by the sea. My sound is a broth of magical realism, lucid dreams, and urban mysticism.

My music has been featured in The Wire, Bandcamp Daily, and NPR. I’ve have received grants from the Grammy Foundation, the Rauschenberg Foundation, and the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. I’ve released music with Grimalkin Records, Enmossed, Flat Field Records, Lithic, and Aphonia Recordings. I am a member of the Female Pressure network and have contributed to compilations; Women of Noise for Palestine and #ShoutYourAbortion. Recently, I received a residency at Woodbine Chamber in Louisville, KY for spring 2026.
