This fall I have created a new symbol and made it into an enamel pin called, Rose Red on Fire. The first time I lit a rose on fire was for the filming of music video Shadow Moon, Astrological Doom. I held it as the petals were overcome by flame, it was charismatic and other-worldly. It burned slowly. And when I look at this image I am captivated by its strength, vulnerability and beauty.
